Lumber & Products
Do you offer custom cuts?
Yes. Oregon West Lumber can custom-cut lumber for projects that require sizes beyond our regularly stocked products. Tell us what species, dimensions, and lengths you need, and our team can help determine the best options for your project.
Do you sell fasteners?
Yes. Oregon West Lumber carries fasteners suitable for lumber, decking, timber, and other building projects. Contact us or stop by to find the right fasteners for your application.
How do I choose between kiln-dried and green lumber?
The right choice depends on your project. Kiln-dried lumber has a lower moisture content, which helps minimize shrinkage and movement and can make it a good choice for interior paneling and applications where dimensional stability is important. Green lumber can be an economical, durable option for many exterior and heavy-timber projects. Our team can help you choose the right material for your application.
What lengths and sizes are available?
We stock a variety of lumber sizes, including full-dimension Incense Cedar in 1- and 2-inch thicknesses and 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12-inch widths. Common post and beam sizes include 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8. Our timbers and beams can be cut up to 20 feet, with special orders available up to 40 feet.
What lumber species do you offer?
We offer Incense Cedar, Port Orford Cedar, and Douglas Fir, providing options for exterior applications, exposed timbers, structural framing, woodworking, and other projects requiring strength, stability, and natural beauty.
Why choose Incense Cedar over retail-yard Redwood?
Incense Cedar offers tight knots, a uniform grain structure, and excellent resistance to checking. It performs well in Southern Oregon’s seasonal weather, making it an attractive and durable choice for siding, outdoor structures, and other exterior projects.
